The Moonbase

After being cut off from the internet for a week with only Photoshop as my friend I’ve started work on my first Doctor Who Recon – The Moonbase.

I am going for that Cosgrove Hall look that was used for ‘The Invasion’ DVD release back in 2006. This project will be a bit of a learning curve for me as in the past I relied on Crazy Talk (facial animation software) to animate my 2D drawings, however for this project I shall be individually drawing numerous mouth, eyes and eye brow positions to give it that proper animation feel. So keep an eye out on here for updates and for now here is a little test I threw together showing the TARDIS console in motion;

Still working on my Dalek Build

and as the end was in sight I spotted several problems that needed fixing, the main being the dome. I bought mine from eBay made from plastic and it was quite cheap at around £30 but the seller did say that it was a tad warped in places,

and recently it was looking worse so I dug out another Dome I purchased from eBay about 8 Years ago which is in a terrible state but made from fiberglass, so i’m currently filling cracks and holes and hopefully it won’t be too long before the bloody thing is finished.

Well my Documentary about the introduction of the police public call boxes in Sunderland is off to a start.

Next week I shall be meeting up with local police historian Harry Wynne to provide me with an insight into the origins of the Sunderland Boxes.

"Best Give it 10 Minutes" The Kayll Road Box Which included a Toilet.

As of today I have started to plan a short documentary about the origin of the Police Public Call Box in the UK.

After a bit of reading I discovered that they were first introduced in Sunderland, which is where I live so I thought it would be great to visit some locations of old “boxes” and perhaps include a little CGI trickery here and there.
